The Richard Allen Young Adult Council was born at the 45th Quadrennial Session of the AME Church.
RAYAC is a ministry for young adults between the ages of 21-39. This ministry recognizes that Worship, Outreach, Relationship-building, and Discipleship are paramount for mission driven believers. RAYAC engages in Discipleship, Leadership Training, Fellowship, and Networking. The goal of the RAYAC is to provide opportunities for young adults to use their God-given gifts and talents for Kingdom building purposes.
Key Events of RAYAC at St. Joseph:
Adopt-A-Family Christmas
The goal is to assist our community and church members who are need around the Christmas season. In RAYAC’s Inaugural year, 2019, RAYAC was able to adopt 6 families to provide household items, clothing and toys for kids, and beds for children.
Fat Tuesday Celebration
Fat Tuesday is a day of reflection before the Lenten season begins. RAYAC along with the Youth Ministry hosts a Bible Study and celebratory reflection gathering where we can all reflect of what we have gone through and what we need to improve on throughout the year.
