Our Ministries

The St. Joseph Community Resource Committee focuses on the ability to provide immediate assistance to members of our congregation as well as Durham community members who are experiencing emergency circumstances relating to food and clothing. Besides assisting with their physical needs, our ministry also provides them with literature to help them move beyond their immediate crisis. All individuals are recognized as being valuable and created by Almighty God.

St. Joseph House provides clothing and food services to those in need in the local community every Wednesday between 2:00 - 3:00 PM. St. Joseph House is located adjacent to St. Joseph AME Church at 511 Nash Street.

Following our weekly Wednesday Bible Study, the Community Resource Committee provides a delicious and nutritious meal accompanied by an informational program on community resources hosted by speakers from the city, county and state.
